Family & Friends

Wow it's been a while since our lost blog! There's just nothing too exciting that has really gone on. So I'll just update with what we have done this past month. :-)

My parents came to town the first weekend in Sept. and we had a blast. It was the first time we'd seen them since our wedding. Dad and Kyle went hunting (as it was opening weekend for dove season) and my mom helped me have a garage sale, where we made almost $200 bucks! It was a great time and I really enjoyed having them around. It's really hard when they are almost 600 miles away.

I had two baby showers for some amazing girls, one of which has been a friend of Kyle and mine for nearly 7 years and the other is one of Kyle's cousins! Both showers were amazing and I put my crafting hat on and here are the gifts I made for the babies and their precious moms. Similar, yet different.

They have 2 receiving blankets, 2 pacifiers, 2 sets of mittens, 4 wash cloths and a bib. The little girls name is Devyn so it wrapped around quite a bit, but overall I was happy with both of them!

The South Plains Fair is here and of course we had to go enjoy some fair food, along with going to the Kevin Fowler Concert! Our friend Hilary went with us and we had corn dogs, twisted taters, a funnel cake and a frozen dipped banana. Boy was I stuffed and so thankful the fair is only here once a year! :) Here is a pic of Hil and I at the concert!

So as much as I enjoy being crafty I really enjoy being in the kitchen cooking and baking. So for the past Tech game we decided we'd watch at our friends Courtney and Bryan's house. We cooked burgers and had chips and dips and I also took it as an opportunity to throw something sweet together and I think it might be my new fave treat! Not quite sure what the name is, but if you like peanut butter, chocolate and pretzels you'll love this!
They're not quite as pretty as I would of liked, but it was a whirlwind kind of day and I had packed in lots to do and not quite enough time, but even though they aren't as pretty as I would of liked, they were DELICIOUS!

We're truly blessed to have such amazing friends and family who spend weekends with us! We have the best friends who keep us laughing and we enjoy making so many great memories!

Blessed beyond belief!
