Corn Dogs. Carnival Rides. Apple Pies. Oh My.

Fall is officialy here and with the start of fall means the fair is here. I am a fair lovin' girl! I love everything about it, the rides, the smell, the food, the people watching, showing (when I was in school of course) and now taking Zeke!

I think Zeke might follow in my footsteps, as he had a blast at the fair yesterday! The weather was perfect, a little overcast, no humidity, and cool! We got there a little early (thanks to my boss) and we went straight to the rides. I'm pretty sure Kyle wanted to eat, but it was only 5 o'clock. I had two reasons for riding rides first: 1) Kyle doesn't like big crowds and 2) Zeke has no understanding of patience and would not do well waiting in line. So there were no lines, we walked up to a ride and Zeke would get on. Zeke loved every ride he rode. Of course we started with the "Choo-choo" or more commonly known as a train. I had to ride with him and I don't think the thing could go any slower, but it was perfect! He didn't want to get off, but once we got on the 'merry-go-round' he had forgotten all about the train, he actually rode this twice, once with me and once with Kyle. I didn't realize those things went so fast, I'd rather ride on a horse than stand next to one, I had to hang on for dear life. :) Zeke laughed while he rode the 'merry-go-round' and waved every time he saw his dad! The last ride he rode was the 'tractor' or construction car, whatever it was. This was my favorite as he rode by himself. I was a little nervous at first because I thought he would try to climb out, but he never moved. He played with the steering wheel and just enjoyed the ride.

After we enjoyed the rides we chowed down on some yummy food! Of course we had a corn dog and twisted taters! Zeke ate half of my corn dog, a plate of twisted taters and a fruit cup, the kid LOVED the food. Oh and I can't forget my favorite, the homemade fried apple (or peach) pies from the church ladies!!

Last, but not least we walked through the 'petting zoo.' I'm not sure I'd call it a petting zoo as most animals were in a corral and you just looked through the fence. The actual petting zoo had sheep and goats… but he loved looking at the animals, especially the "quack, quacks" or ducks/geese.

Our last stop was to check out dada's ag mechanics project. Lubbock-Cooper FFA has two 2nd place, three 1st place and Overall Small Metal project. Zeke enjoyed playing with the fire pits…

We had a great time! Zeke was a trooper and pretty much walked the entire time, Kyle did carry him some, but overall he just enjoyed walking and checking things out! I love the fair and am excited for fall!

Blessed beyond measure!
