3 Weeks Down and a Lifetime to Go

It feels like just yesterday we were coming home from the hospital and I was crying the whole way home. You always hear about all the emotional/hormonal changes that happen during pregnancy, but no one ever tells you what you're body is going to do post baby. Man it's crazy, I cried for no reason at all for almost a week, one time Kyle walked down the hallway to the living room, where I was sitting on the couch, and I just started crying. He was just wearing blue jeans and a polo, but man I balled. I cried when just talking on the phone to family and friends, it was the craziest thing! I'm proof that hormonal changes are just as bad post baby as they are while growing a baby inside!

The most common question I get these days is how are things going or how is mommy hood? I must say we are truly blessed with a super sweet little boy. We rarely have times of madness or screaming, he eats like a champ and sleeping is well not as much as I'd like, but he is a baby! Yes, I still hate those 40 weeks of pregnancy, but I love this little boy with all my body, heart and soul! Mommy hood is amazing and Zeke really is great, but no matter how great he is he is still a baby and babies are so demanding and exhausting no matter how good they are. I don't know how a guy so little can demand so much, but I guess when you can't communicate it tends to make things so much harder!  The other thing that changes in your life is the amount of laundry you'll do. Holy moly this kid can go through clothes, blankets and burp clothes in the blink of an eye. I do his laundry twice as much as I do our laundry! If laundry makes you a basket case now just wait until you have a kid!

After a short three weeks the changes in Zeke are unbelievable. I can't believe how much he is already changed! I think it's been 3 weeks, next it'll be 3 months and then 3 years! He is just so loving and cuddly right now, I want him to stay like this forever! We have so much fun when he growls and groans at me and when we "play" on his mat or with his Tigger or monkey toy! I just love him so much, I never knew you could love someone with all your heart so instantly. I think back to when I met Kyle and on that day I knew I'd marry him, but the amount of love I have for him didn't hit me that day, but over time. But the love I have for Zeke came across me the moment they placed him on my chest and every day it grows times 10! I'm so thankful to God for our little blessing and I'll continue to watch him grow every day!

Here is a comparison of 1 day to 3 weeks, from 6 lbs 10 oz to 7 lbs 2 oz!

Here's to baby kisses and love!
